    Josephine’s Story

“My mom abandoned me when I was young and I now live with my elderly Grandmother. The last time I saw my mom was when I was three years old.  It is my grandmother who does everything within her means to get food for me and keep me safe.  For my school fees, she pleaded with the head teacher of the school where she is kind to my grandmother and accepts small payments from her when she gets money. This is so good, but at times my grandmother is unable to raise any money for my schooling.  Because of her age, she is unable to do much work that could help her raise fees for me and also provide us with the other necessities”.

Now a part of the PFP Juniors program, Josephine attends a highly ranked primary school and has big dreams to become a teacher someday. While PFP supports Josephine with education and medical expenses, she continues to live with her grandmother, who she loves very much.
