Wamboho Suula

    Suula’s Story

Suula was born to his mother and father in Mbale District. His mother left the family when he was just an infant. The father was incredibly unsafe and put Suula in dangerous situations. One day a neighbor reported the case to local police and Suula’s father was arrested and imprisoned for six months. The neighbor took Suula in for a short time, but that environment also became unsafe for Suula. The neighbor took Suula to the police station and he was then brought to the PFP home where he was welcomed with open arms.

At seven years old, Suula is still unable to speak. He has been treated medically for severe malnutrition and has been seen daily by the PFP therapist. He is slowly learning to trust a few PFP staff members and we hope he will eventually be able to attend school. We have a lot of hope for Suula’s future, happiness and success.
