    Marvin’s Story

Marvin’s mother is HIV positive and is a single mother with two children (Marvin’s father abandoned his mother for another woman when she had just given birth to Marvin and has never returned).

Wilson, commonly known as Marvin, is the second and the last born in his family.  His mother has a small business frying pancakes, which she operates in front of the room where they sleep. The business is very small in scale and is hardly enough to feed the family, let alone pay school fees. She reached out to the Peace for Paul Foundation asking for help to send Marvin to school so that he would not have to drop out like his elder sister did years ago.

Now a part of the PFP Juniors program, Marvin attends a highly ranked primary school and has big dreams to become a banker in the future. He says that he wants to be successful when he grows up so that he can get enough money to build his mother a very good home. His favorite colors are blue and white and his favorite meal is rice and beans.
