Privacy Policy and Terms of Use

The not-for-profit Peace for Paul Foundation of Oregon, Inc. (“PFP”) respects your privacy. This explains how we collect and use the personal information you may provide to us on our website (“Site”) or when you support our work. It applies equally to information we collect both online and offline.

This Policy covers the following areas:

* what information we collect;

* how we use the information;

* with whom we may share the information;

* what choices you have about our collection, use and disclosure of the information;

* what security procedures are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under our control:

* how you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Online Information Collection

Site Usage. The Site uses a third party hosting service whose server software creates usage logs that may capture information about users of the site such as browser type, browser settings, ISP name, IP address, referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number or nature of clicks from all visitors to the Site. We do not routinely attempt to identify users of the Site by matching server log information with names, addresses or other identifiers, though we reserve the right to do so in extraordinary circumstances, such as to protect the Site or the organization’s other interests.

Submitted Information. You may supply us with your name, address and other contact information when you register to volunteer for PFP, sign up to receive our newsletter or donate. When you donate online, your payment information is processed by our secure third-party payment service, Chase Paymentech; we do not receive or retain payment card data. If you friend, follow or connect with PFP on social media, the contact information you make available on that platform is collected. We retain submitted contact information, but its transfer to third parties is restricted as described below.

Cookies. Our Site does not host any third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You do not need to allow a cookie to be set in order to use the Site. You may set your browser to reject or accept cookies.

Personal Information of Children under 13

Our mission is to help children in Uganda, but our Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age.

Communications from PFP

From time to time we may send you updates about activity at the Peace and Hope Homes and related communications. You may withdraw your permission to receive such communications from us at any time.

Disclosure of Information to Third Parties

PFP does not share its donor list with third parties for purposes of marketing or soliciting donations. This includes other not-for-profit organizations. If we decide to change this policy we will get your express permission (opt-in) before doing so. We reserve the right to disclose personal information to service providers who may assist us in such areas as data storage, hosting, and web analytics. We reserve the right to disclose personal information when required by law, or if we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on us, (b) protect and defend our rights, or (c) protect the rights, property, and other interests of our users or others.

Data Security

PFP takes reasonable precautions to protect your information. For online donations, financial information is transmitted through our third-party payment processor using encryption technology (secure socket layer or SSL) and not collected by us. Personal information is subject to restricted access in our organization and only staff who need the information to perform a specific task are granted access to it. If PFP experiences a data security breach and is required to notify you, PFP will do so by electronic mail using the e-mail address you have provided. You are responsible for ensuring that your contact information is current and correct. To review or change your information, please contact us.

Notification of Changes

If we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner materially different from that stated here we will notify you via email, giving you a chance to opt out.

Non-U.S. Users

PFP processes and stores personal information in the United States of America. If you are outside the United States, information you submit to PFP will be transferred out of your country and into the United States.

Site Terms

Your continued use of the Site is conditioned on your agreement to the terms in this paragraph. The Site is provided as-is and with no warranties of any kind, express or implied. The exclusive venue for resolution of any dispute arising out of or relating to your use of the Site will be any state or federal court located in Multnomah County, Oregon, USA. Oregon law (exclusive of its provisions relating to the conflict of laws) will govern the interpretation of these terms.
